Description | He has promised to bring Leakey's grant application for £173 before Council of the Royal Society at the next meeting in June. Before any decision is made, they should have the whole book for inspection and two questions will be asked. Firstly, whether the work is mainly anthropological, archaeological or geological. Secondly, whether the book should be submitted to an expert for a report. Since Boswell already knows a good deal about the content, he asks what should be done: whether the manuscript should go straight to the University Press or to Boswell, or to someone else he would recommend. He does not wish to give Boswell trouble, but he does not want to suggest granting the money unless he was sure that the book was worthy of the Royal Society's support. |
