Title | Letter from Benjamin W Snow, Dorotheenstrasse 82, Berlin, Germany, to Charles Vernon Boys |
Creator | Snow; Benjamin Warner (1860-1928); American physicist |
Recipient | Boys; Sir Charles Vernon (1855-1944); British physicist and inventor |
Date | 1 June 1891 |
Description | Boys's card containing advice on Snow's galvanometer arrived a day or two ago and he has not yet acted upon it. He describes his galvanometer as it functions at present, with its heavier needle. The quartz fibres have excited great interest and they have been observing the fibres in sunlight and with a direct vison spectroscope, with which the interference effects can be seen very well. |
