Title | Letter from Alfred Ernle Montacute Chatfield, 1st Baron Chatfield, The Small House, Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire, to Geoffrey Vernon Boys |
Creator | Chatfield; Alfred Ernle Montacute; first Baron Chatfield (1873-1967); British naval officer |
Recipient | Boys; Geoffrey Vernon (1893-1945); British engineer |
Date | 2 September 1944 |
Description | Having just returned from the north, Boys's letter has chased him. He thanks Boys for the helpful information. He is happy to hear that Boys is in no pain and wonders if he will have the injections. His daughter was ill last year and therefore he heard all about the 'new treatment' [penicillin?]. The doctors decided it would be inadvisable in her case. He hopes it will be different for Boys. |
