OtherInfo | Mohammad bin Hadou's presence in London during the early 1680s was the focus of much publicity and there were even poems written about him as well as news reports in the 'London Gazette'. The peace treaty he returned to Morocco with was not ratified as there were outstanding matters relating to English military presence in Tangiers and English prisoners in Morocco. His visit to England had a long-lasting effect on Anglo-Moroccan alliances. |
