Description | Harrison's reply to Hartog's note accompanying the 'long lost cover of Chemical tracts' from the Royal Society Library, has been delayed by Harrison's endeavour to recover the boards which Hartog sent to the Society in place of the originals, and which had gone to the binders. Harrison regrets to say that those boards have been mislaid at the binders, who cannot find them.
He will say no more on the subject which led to so much correspondence between them a few months back, except that it points to the necessity to which Harrison has already refereed, of his strict adherence to the rule calling in all the Society's books at short intervals. |
