| Description | Harrison received Palgrave's request for the resuspension of Professor Edgeworth's certificate and proceeded to act upon it. However Harrison also received a counter request from Mr Francis Galton (whose name is at the head of the list of proposers on the existing certificate), requesting that it might not be resuspended in its present form. As a result, Harrison is directed by the Secretaries to ask Palgrave to draw up a fresh certificate for Edgeworth, which Mr Galton has expressed his willingness to sign, but not as first on the list. |
