Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Karl Pearson, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 12 February 1900 |
Description | Is not sure if Professor [Arthur William] Rucker has already written to Pearson personally with reference to Pearson's letter of the 7th accompanying the rewritten portion of his paper, formerly described as part VII of his series, but in case not Harrison sends a line to say the paper is being treated as a new paper by itself. They await the other part, which Harrison assumes will form part VII of the series.
With reference to Pearson's former letter, Harrison gathers that Professor Rucker did not understand that Pearson desired a formal sanction to make the alterations Pearson proposed, and that Pearson's request was met by sending him the paper for the purpose. The abstract of the original paper has been held over as Pearson desired. |
