Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Robert Bellamy Clifton, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 8 January 1902 |
Description | Thanks Clifton for his letter. Professor Ernest Wilson's paper has gone to Professor Bryan. The paper was sent in as for the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' for the sake of securing earlier publication, but on all other grounds Harrison gathers from the author that he would be equally ready to have it considered for other publication.
Does not think there is enough business to justify a meeting next week. Encloses a memorandum on the state of business [not enclosed]. The only paper calling for immediate action is Mr Andews', which being so short, might be dealt with without waiting for a meeting of the Committee. Asks to hear from Clifton at once if he consents to the meeting being postponed. Has been ill for a week or would have written sooner. |
