Description | Apologises for not writing sooner but has been unwell. Has matters which he was keeping until Larmor returned but now learns Larmor is going round by Dublin. Does not know if Larmor has heard the latest stages of the Antarctic matter but encloses copies of two letters which should provide information [not enclosed]. Sir C Markham has gone for his holidays and 'left the field clear'.
Encloses proof of last Council Minutes and asks for this early in the week [not enclosed]. Encloses a notice for a special Council Meeting to be held next Thursday in order to seal an address to Loubet, which the President and Sir Michael at the suggestion of Lord Avebury, think the Royal Society ought to present [not enclosed]. Has telegraphed Professor Clifton to ask him to make the Physics Committee four o'clock. |
