Description | Larmor is directed by the President and Council of the Royal Society to forward for the consideration of the Lords Commissioners of HM Treasury the report enclosed on the needs for addition buildings at the National Physical Laboratory, which was adopted by the Executive Committee of the Laboratory on December 17, 1909. The submission of this report has been deferred until now on account of an intimation that applications for new capital expenditure could not then be entertained. The Executive Committee of the Laboratory has recently reconsidered and have requested the Royal Society to make application for the funds required. The Executive Committee are still of opinion that the portion of the work of the Laboratory that remains are Kew should be transferred to Teddington. [no enclosure]] |
