Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor A [Arthur] Schuster, Secretary of the Royal Society |
Date | 14 December 1912 |
Description | 'Micellaneous. 1. The enclose envelope has come up to me with papers from last night's Committee, but I think it is something private of yours. 2. Although we have let the number of Proceedings go forward with Dreyer's papers as they stand is it desirable to let the weekly summary go to press as it stands, or do you think we might take the responsibility of striking out the last line of the summary of the second paper, page 2, and stop at the words "body surface"? 3. I meant to show you the enclose letter from Dr Shaw yesterday. Is it worth while summoning a Gassiot Committee at an early date for the purpose mentioned in the first paragraph, or shall we not in any case have to call one in January to receive the regulations from Eskdalemuir Sub-Committee, and would that be in time for the reduction question?' |
