Description | Rix is afraid he must complain of the serious delays in the printing of the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' now two months in arrears. The Officers are quite concerned at the delay and the authors write continuously to known when their papers will be out. Rix is aware that part of this delay was caused by the Colour Vision Report, but not withstanding this the final revises of all the sheets of number 315 were passed for press with scarcely any correction on 26 September and the wrapper on 27 September. Number 314 was all passed for press first week in October and consists of only[?] three sheets.
Another delay which Rix cannot understand is that of the dinner card which he sent for proof more than a week ago. Fellows are applying now for the card and Rix cannot even obtain the proof of it though he has asked several times. |
