Description | Gardner writes: 'In the following communication I desire to make known to the Society some of the results which I obtained by means of grant given to me by the Government Grant Committee. Brief and incomplete as these notes on the fossil plants must necessarily be at the present stage, they will, I trust, serve to disclose how enormously increased our knowledge must become when the study of these plants shall have been completed.'
