Description | Plate 5, figures 1-9 showing anatomical studies of the brains of a beaver [Castor fiber; Eurasian beaver], a monkey [Saguinus midas; golden-handed tamarin], a wombat [Vombatus ursinus; common wombat], a kangaroo [Macropus giganteus; eastern grey kangaroo], an Ursine dasyure [Sarcophilus harrisii; Tasmanian devil], and a Virginian opossum [Didelphis virginiana; Virginia opossum]. Figures drawn separately and pasted onto a single backing sheet. Inscribed with publication and plate details. Signed in graphite lower left 'Richard Owen del:'. A graphite inscription bottom right reads 'Jas [James] Basire sc.' The manuscript for this paper is wanting.
