TitleReply to objections by referee from [Meghnad] N Saha, regarding a paper 'Studies on the ionosphere at Allahabad' by B D Pant and R R Bajpai
Date[7 November 1938]
DescriptionPaper reference code: A.93

[Enclosure from RR/W/6/52].

Responds to the referee's critiques of the paper. References Goubau (H F T, 45, 181, 1935), [Mary] Taylor (Proc Phys Soc [Proceedings of the Physical Society], Vol 46, p. 421, 1934) to rebut Appleton's theory. Suggests the referee consults R N Rai (Proc Nat Inst Sc India [Proceedings of the National Institute of Sciences in India], 8, 307, 1937), and Saha and Rai (Proc Nat Inst Sc, 8, 359, 1937). States that the referee must 'revise his ideas about the applicability of the ray-theory'.

[Not published in RS journals but published in Proc.Nat.Inst.Sci.Ind., 5, No.2, 1939].
