DescriptionHe came that aftrenoon intending to dine with the [Royal Society] Club, but owing to the vagaries of Parliametary life, it was only at 6.50 before he could put his question to the Prime Minister, and therefore he was prevented from joining the meeting. He is very sorry if this has deprived him of the honour of Club membership, but he ought not to stand in the way of another candidate.
