Title | Letter from Archibald Geikie, Haslemere, to [Arthur Smith] Woodward |
Creator | Geikie; Sir Archibald (1835-1924); British geologist and historian |
Recipient | Woodward; Sir Arthur Smith (1864-1944); British palaeontologist |
Date | 3 July 1910 |
Description | He returns the draft of the ticket with slight alterations on another draft. The title of the meeting is 'convention' not 'committee' and the title should be given. 40 cards would be enough, he thinks, if they are to be sent to foreign delegates and guests only. Perhaps 50 would be wiser. He supposes that other cards will be sent to Royal Society Club members to let them know about the dinner. The Royal Society will pay for all delegates and guests and each member if the Royal Society Club will pay for themselves. |
