TitleLetter from T G [Thomas George] Bonney, The Athenaeum, to Dr [Arthur] Smith Woodward
CreatorBonney; Thomas George (1833-1923); British geologist
RecipientWoodward; Sir Arthur Smith (1864-1944); British palaeontologist
Date23 November 1910
DescriptionHe appreciates Smith's kindness and that of the committee of the Geological Club, which proposes to elect Bonney as an honorary member. He has many pleasant memories of its meetings and regrets that his attendance has not been more regular. He has no objection to being made an honorary member of the Royal Society Club. He did not suggest retiring from that as he did not want a complete severance. He had been a member for many years, and a member of the Philosophical Club before that.
