Title | Letter from G W [George William] Lamplugh, 13 Beaconsfield Rd., St Albans, to [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton |
Creator | Lamplugh; George William (1859-1926); British geologist |
Recipient | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 6 June 1926 |
Description | He appreciates Swinton's kind letter of 4 June. He does not anticipate any difficulty in attending [the Royal Society Club] on 17 June. His general health is hardly affected, save for some local inconvenience. It is only the uncertainty which prompts him to resign. He cannot complain, having enjoyed fifty years of good health, only suffering from sea-sickness. 'I am by no means finished yet'. |
