Title | Letter from Thomas Gold to Professor [Hermann] Bondi, University of London King's College, Department of Mathematics |
Date | 30 September 1965 |
Description | Glad 'to hear that you are making progress with the rotators. I have started to write a general discussion as to why they should be [expected] and in what circumstances of stability they would be expected to survive and, therefore, to populate the Universe. I will also include a discussion of scale since there is a complete difference in the behaviour of stars and rotators in this respect. No physical defining scale seems to enter into the rotators and one might, therefore, expect very large objects of this kind'. |
