Title | Letter from [William George] Armstrong, Cragside, Rothbury, to [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, 66 Victoria [Street], London, S.W |
Creator | Armstrong; William George (1810 - 1900); Baron Armstrong of Cragside; armaments manufacturer and industrialist |
Date | 4 December 1891 |
Description | Encloses a cheque due to [Killingworth William] Hedges as per agreement he should be renouncing all patent claims upon him [enclosure not present]. Has done very little with the hydroelectric affair owing to a cold brought on by bad weather. Has turned his attention to a new contact breaker for the induction coils. States "if there be any truth in demonology it must certainly apply to my apparatus. It seems full of devils most difficult to discover & to exorcise". Hopes to see Swinton at Cragside at a more suitable season. |
