TitleLetter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to [Professor Peder Oluf] Pedersen
CreatorSwinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer
Date30 March 1921
DescriptionAcknowledges receipt of a previous letter and its attachments. Concurs that the Institution of Electrical Engineers would have been a better medium for the publication of Pedersen's paper than the columns of The Electrician. Conveys his interest in Pedersen's further investigations into the Lichtenberg figures, and is gratified that he has come to the conclusion taht Swinton was right in thinking it to be a purely photographic effect. Comments that The Electrician is no longer regarded as it used to be as it has become more commercial and technical, rather than scientific. Suggests that Pedersen's paper would be best published in the Philosophical Magazine. Willing to act as proposer for Pedersen to become a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers, attaching the relevant documentation [wnclosure not present].
