TitleLetter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Sir Herbert Jackson, K. E. E., F. R. S.
CreatorSwinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer
Date14 July 1921
DescriptionReferring to a previous conversation, notes it must have been 15 years that the "Turbinia" or such portions of it as were considered suitable, were offered to the Science Museum. At the time there was no room in the Museum and the matter was left over pending the building of additional accomodation. He has been told that since this special place has been filled up with a flying machine and that the "Turbinia" is still lying at Wallsend, where it is in the open air, likely rotting. Emphasises the importance of preserving it.
