Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to The Editor, "The Wireless World" |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 5 November 1920 |
Description | Replying to a letter, stating that his lecture at the next meeting of the Wireless Society of London will be chiefly of the nature of a demonstration, and that it had better be reported, as only a portion of it will be in writing. Explains that he is having a number of slides made from illustrations in a pamphlet describing the Creed apparatus, offering these after the meeting for the purpose of making blocks. Hopes to show the Creed apparatus at work from Paris, with General [Gustave-Auguste] Ferrié having agreed to sending an automatic message from the Eiffel Tower. The title of his lecture will be "Wireless Telegraphic Printing on the Creed Automatic System", enclosing a ticket for an address on Wireless Telegraphy he is due to give at the Royal Society of Arts on 17 November. |
