Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to [Cyril Henry] Phillips [Esquire], O. B. E. |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 14 February 1927 |
Description | Sorry to hear that Phillips has been unwell, adding that he has also been unwell and bed-bound. Appreciates the attitude of the Council of the Röntgen Society as expressed to him in Phillips's letter, assuring him that it is with pain that he is dissociates himself from a Society he has been a member of since it started. Regrets he is unable to reconsider his resignation, as about two years ago, in connection with the Society of Radiographers, he had such an unpleasant experience with the aims and methods of some of the members of the British Institute of Radiology, that he determined never to have anything to do with that body, who appear to be entirely under the thumb of the General Medical Council. Discusses his point in further detail. |
