Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to C. C. Paterson [Esquire] |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 14 January 1927 |
Description | Acknowledges receipt of a previous letter. Sees it as an honour if he were tobe invited to become an Honorary Member of the Rontgen Society but that he ought to decline it as it would lead to him being put in a false position. Reports that he is still ill after a bad spell of gastritis. Referring to Baird's lecture, states he was not aware that Baird actually wrote a book, only that he was planning to. Enquires of its publication, anxious to know whether he showed to the meeting such experimental television as he understands he has shown to certain journalists. |
