Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Llewelyn B. Atkinson [Esquire] |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 6 March 1928 |
Description | Returns Atkinson's two volumes of English Mechanic and an envelope containing correspondence with Mr Schaffer. Does not see his way at present to prepare a paper on Television that would really be interesting, as the subject has to his mind become spoilt scientifically by absurd statements about Baird's experiments. Comments that he has personally not attended a Baird lecture but heard from others who have, that it was unintelligible and a quite ridiculous exhibition on Television, yet the papers write as if the problem was solved. |
