Understands they were ready to loan Thornton £80 at 4 per cent, provided he gave them consent, as his insurer. The letter they have now sent him said they are unable to trace having received any application from Thorton for a loan on the security of the policy, that he has not acquired any interest in the policy, and this being so, they only make an advance to himself. As this amounts to him lending Thornton further money, which he repeats he is unwilling to do. |
