DescriptionInforms he has received from H. M. Inspector of Taxes, particulars of what is intended to have been the assessment to income tax upon his fees as a Director of Edmundons for the year 1927-28. Encloses a copy of the particulars [enclosure not present]. A letter which accompanies the particulars, the Inspector informed him of the amount of tax which has actually been paid on his fees and therefore gathers that any sum deducted from his fees for income tax over and above this amount is repayable to him by the Company. Requests that the amount of tax deduced by the Company is remitted to him.
