Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Harry |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 7 February 1929 |
Description | He has no knowledges of the affairs of Aunt Blanche and Miss Annie Hutchinson. Informs that his sister Alice wrote to him a week ago to say she was coming up to see Aunt Blanche but afterwards said it was postponed. Happened to see Archbishop Randall Davidson int eh Athenaeum, who told him that Aunt Blanche was taking the death of Miss Hutchinson very well, she in fact seemed relieved, as she had been afraid that she might die first and that Annie Hutchinson would be left without anyone to look after her. Unsure who has the lease of the house in Egerton Crescent but has always understood that Aunt Blanche was put to considerable expense in feeding the several nurses attending Miss Hutchinson. |
