Title | Letter from [John Walter] Gregory, Geology Department, The University, Glasgow, to [Alan Archibald] Campbell Swinton, 66 Victoria Street, London, S. W. 1. |
Creator | Gregory; John Walter (1864 - 1932) |
Date | 1 December 1927 |
Description | Enclosing a copy of the print of his paper on water divining, where he refers to the timing of movements of water in a pipe [enclosures present]. Comments it would be excellent to get the same thing done on a larger scale, to get diviners to select a representative dozen or seven, as at Guildford, and test them. Explains that the paper features misprint errors and that the diagrams showing Guilford results were not ready at the time. Comments on Swinton's remarks on telepathy, in his letter to The Times [ACS/1/3/3/1].
Attached are two copies of the paper, one being a proof, of John Walter Gregory's paper on water divining, read at the session of the British Waterworks Association, Public Works, Roads, and Transport Congress, 1927, treating the subject in depth, from its origins to experimentation to determine credibility. |
