Description | Diamond explains that his position as 'Medical Superintendent of the Surrey Lunatic Asylum' [London] has enabled him to to take photographic portraits of inpatients at the facility. He describes how portraits of inpatients can be taken over the period of their time at the facility to be kept as records for study and comparison by the physician and psychologist.
