DescriptionWoltman provides meteorological observations made at Zwanenberg [Antwerp, Belgium] and previously published in the Transactions of the Dutch Academy of Sciences at Haerlem [Haarlem, Netherlands] and writes on the importance for navigators of knowing the direction of wind in various parts of the world during particular seasons. Woltman includes temperature, humidity, barometrical, and precipitation observations as well. Includes three tables of average observations taken over the course of 25 years, from 1762-1786. Marginalia appear in ink throughout.
