Thanks him for sending Dalton's work and discusses what he has written on Lavoisier and the evaporation of water. Has been reading Davy's paper on the analysis of ammonia and discusses variation between Davy's results and those of his son. Discusses translation of Thomson's work by Riffault. Discusses health of Gay Lussac and thanks Blagden for his advice that he sent. Thinks that Allen and Pepys work on respiration is very important he has also been experimenting in this area. Chenevix read his letter from Blagden to him. |
