Description | His correspondent informed him at the beginning of the year of the Royal Society's intention to subscribe to a table at the Roscoff Station for the years 1916 and 1917. A cheque was sent for £60 for the year 1916 and the amount for 1917 would be sent on request, but it was no urgent. The end of the year approaches and therefore he sends a reminder. He wonders if the Society would continue into 1918. The thing is useful, since Belgium, Russia and Romania are not paying for five tables.
With an attached memorandum for the Assistant Secretary: 'Gore Fund. Cheque for Prof. Delage Roscoff Lab. £60. Now applied for: letter of Nov 13 with Mr. Towle'. |
