Description | Balfour acknowledges the Royal Society's letter of 11 June [see CD/115/10], concerning Balfour's statement in the House of Commons on 26 May concerning the Antarctic Expedition. Balfour confirms that the evidence presented 'exonerate the Royal Society from any responsibility for theose incidents in connection with the original application for Government assistance'. Huggins is at liberty to share the contents of this letter as he sees fit. |
