Description | Unsigned copy minutes, inscribed with Professor [Joseph] Larmor's name. The Secretary [William Napier Shaw] reports on the outcome of a meeting with the Royal Society to discuss the publication of observations from the 'Discovery' expedition. The Secretary's report lists the meteorological data already in the possession of the Meteorological Office, and outlines various international observation exchanges which the Office is involved in. The minutes also include a specimen table showing thermometer, wind and cloud movement at the 'Discovery' station on the 22nd September 1902, as an example of the output the Office recommends. |
