DescriptionIn reply to [Charles Lallemand's] letter, informs him that they do not know if anybody has been appointed successor to the late Sir David Gill on the International Geodetic Association. Promises to find out what has been done and write again. Informs Lallemand that the British Government has decided that Britain should send a second delegate as well, which will be himself [Charles Frederick Arden Close], the Director General of the Ordnance Survey. Hopes to meet Lallemand at the General Conference after the war. Thanks Lallemand for sending some pamphlets about the Germans' conduct in the present war.
