TitleCopy letter from [Charles] Lallemand, to the Director of the Ordnance Survey Office
Date3 May 1915
Description[Letter is in French.]

Is happy to hear that there will be two British delegates at the next International Geodetic Association conference. Informs the Ordnance Survey that he has been in contact with the Russian delegate, General Pomerantzoff, who has pointed out that the Central Bureau of the Association is in the Geodetic Institute in Berlin, and that the Director of that is also the Director of the overall Association. Thinks that the Association should be entirely separate from the Prussian Government, considering the current war. Proposes that at the next General Conference, the terms of the future Association are made anew, and that the choice of Director should be left to the General Conference's choice. Asks what they think.
