Description | Hamberg presents observations on the size, colour and body structure of the pearl fly or dragonfly (Anisoptera). He describes how the male and female of the species are the same size, the male having a shiny violet body and the female having a shiny grey-golden body. He goes on to describe the anatomy of the insect.
