Description | Ink figure of an 'arcuccio' [arcutio], or wooden frame, which St John suggest can be placed under bedclothes during the winter to prevent a child from being smothered. Parts of the frame are labelled a-e and described. The length of the frame is '2 feet 3 inches and a half' and the width is '1 foot 1 inch'.
