Ordered purchase of Goldfuss's Petrofactions

Resolved;
1. Instructions for sending out proof sheets of the newly arranged Catalogue to Professor Pagani Oxford, Mr Whewell and Mr Peacock, Cambridge, Mr Stratford, Sir David Brewster, Professor Hamilton (Observatory Dublin), the Astronomer Royal and the President
2. Letter to the above asking for a list of desiderata marking the degree of recommendation and the prices and where the books may be had
3. 2nd Series; Chemistry to Mr Faraday, Mr Thomson, Mr Dqaniell, Sir Daqvid Brewster, Dr Henry, Reverend J Cumming, Reverend Mr Whewell, Dr Danbury, Reverend Dr Buckland, Mr Konig, Mr Murchison and Mr Christie

' The Committee recommend that they should be empowered to sell such Duplicates and their Books received from the British Museum as do not appear to them desirable to be retained in the Library. '
