1. The Physical Sciences Research Committe, consulted by correspondence in May 1962, agreed to recommend to Council that the appointment of Dr D T Edmonds, Mackinnon Research Student, be renewed for one year from 1 October 1962 at the same stipend (£1150 per annum); that in consequence of his election to an official fellowship and lectureship in experimental physics at Wadham College Oxford, from 1 October 1962 the usual deduction be made from his Mackinnon Studentship stipend of two-thirds of his college fellowship stipend of £250 per annum; and that as he received children's allowance of £25 per annum per child from his college the Royal Society allowance of £50 per annum per child be reduced to £25per annum per child.

2. The Physical Sciences Research Committee, consulted by correspondence in July 1963, agreed to recommend to Council that the appointment of Dr D T Edmonds, Mackinnon Research Student, be renewed for a further year from 1 October 1963 at a stipend of £1550 per annum '. '
