1. Minutes of meeting held on 13 February 1953 confirmed

2. Research funds for physical sciences
Resolved - that the following be recommendations to Cou ncil;
2a. that a grant of £1500 be made to Professor J F Allen for equipment for the Physics Department of St Andrews University
2b. that a grant of £200 be made to Professor E C Stonor for equipment in connection with Professor J G Wilson's cosmic ray research in the University of Leeds
2c. that a grant of £1500 per annum for three years be made to Dr F P Bowden for expenses in connexion with studies on the solid state being carried out in the Department of Physical Cjemstry at Cambridge
2d. that a grant of £2000 to be spent over the next three years be made to Mr B C Browne for the use of the Department of Geodesy and Geophysics at Cambridge.
