Description | ' In February 1956, the Chairman, on behalf of the Physical Sciences Research Committee, recommended to Council :- That permission be given to Dr C J Waddington, Mackinnon Research Student, to continue his present teaching duties, involving about 3 hours work a week during term time, during the tenure of his Studentship.
The Physical Sciences Research Committee, consulted by correspondence in June 1956, agreed to recommend to Council:- That the stipend of Dr C J Waddington, Mackinnon Research Student, be raised to £800 per annum, plus superannuation, from 1 October 1956.
The Physical Sciences Research Committee, consulted by correspondence in March 1957, agreed to recommend to Council:- a. That Dr C J Waddington, Mackinnon Reserch Student, be granted one year's leave of absence to work at the University of Minnesota, from 1 October 1957 b. That Dr Waddington's Mackinnon Student Reserch Studentship be renewed for a further two years from 31 December 1957 c. That a grant of £21.10.0 from the Mackinnon Research Fund be made to Dr Waddington for his expense in attending the Conference on Cosmic Ray Physics to be held at Varenna in June 1957 These recommendations were conditional on Dr Waddinton decalring his intention of returning to Bristol at the end of one year, or if not to Bristol, to this country.
The Physical Sciences Research Committee, consulted by correspondence in October 1958, agreed to recommend to Council:- That the stipend of Dr C J Waddington, Mackinnon Research Student, be raised to £950 per annum with effect from 1 October 1958.
The Physical Research Committee, consulted by correspondence in April 1959, agreed to recommend to Council:- That the appointment of Dr C J Waddington, Mackinnon Reserch Student, be renewed for a period of nine months from 1 January 1960 at a stipend of £1050 per annum. ' |
