Description ' With reference to minute 2 of 8 December 1955 the the Committee was informed by correspondence on 29 December 1955 that a recommendation had been made to Council that Mr C J Waddington be appointed to the Mackinnon Reserch Studentship with effect from 1 January 1956.

In February 1960 the Committee was informed by correspondence of the resignation of Dr C J Waddington from his Mackinnon Research Studentship from 30 September 1959 on his appointment to a lectureship in Physics at the University of Bristol. The Committee agreed by correspondence that the Studentship be advertised with a view to an appointment being made from 1 October 1960. '
