Description ' After detailed consideration of the draft agenda for the Second General Conference of UNESCO to be held in Mexico City in November / December 1947, the following general instructions were formulated for the information of the British scientific delegation:

1. With reference to item 8 of the provisional agenda (Paper 2C/1) it was Resolved - that the British scientific delegation be instructed to press strongly for the admission of accredited observers from non-governmental international organisation, such as the International Council of Scientific Unions, to the Second Session of the General Conference.

2. With reference to item 14 of the same paper, i.e. consideration of the draft programme of UNESCO for 1948 the following general principles were agreed;

The Committee is deeply appreciative of the assistance already given to the International Council of Scientific Unions and affiliated interntional unions and urges that this very valuable assistance should be continued and extended by Unesco
