It was noted that uk members were expected to attend the following meetings of international planning groups in the financial year 1963 - 1964; -
a. Planning Committee - Edinburgh November 1963
b. Budget of Production working group Brussels (?) August 1963
c. Process of Production meetings:
i. Working Group Rome
ii. Nitrogen Fixation Stockholm, Auagust 1963
iii. Photosynthesis Locationa nd date not fixed
d. Freshwater Communities working group Uppsala October 1963
e. Human Adaptability meetings:
i. Anthropometry London August 1963
ii. Cold and Fitness Oslo, October - November 1963
iii. Heat tolerance London November 1963
f. Marine Communities Working Group Madrid, September - October 1963

It was expected that other iimportant meetings were also being arranged to which UK members would be invited. In view of the urgent need to get the international planning to a stage when formal approaches could be made to governments, noting that UK scientists were playing a prominent part int he international planning, and recognizing that international funds were inadequate for the purpose, th4 committee agreed that ti be a
RECOMMENDATION to the Council of the Royal Society that the Royal Society make a grant of £1,000, to be allocated by the Provisional UK committee for thje International Biological Programme, to meet the traqvel expenses of UK members attending international planning meetings of the IBP between ~August 1963 and March 1964

7. Next meeting
It was agreed that the next meeting should be on 21 October 1963
