Minute 7 - 'That a loan of £500 be made to the organizers of the 4th Congress of the Internatinal Federation for the Theory of Machines and Mechanisms, which was to be held in the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in the second half of September 1975, it being noted that a similar loan had been made to the organizers by the Institution of Mechanical Engineeers.'
