Miinutes of last meeting , 4 November 1870, read and confirmed.

Discussed steps taken to ask the Government of £2000 and use of a ship to Spain, adding Sir E Sabine to the organizing committee, actions taken by the organizing committee, Astronomer Royal arranging observations sent in, and suggestions that the observationsof the eclipse of 1860 and 1870 be published together.

Resolved the Astronomical Society to take charge of the Instruments acquired for the expedition.
